Dr Ed Hauptmn,
specialist ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon graduated from the
University of Melbourne in 1981 and later trained in Ophthalmology at
the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He subsequently held a
postgraduate position at Harvard, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
for twelve months furthering his knowledge in general ophthalmology and
ocular pathology. On return to Australia he trained in minimally
invasive, small incision cataract surgery and was one of the first
surgeons in Victoria to perform topical
anaesthesia with the clear corneal technique.
He has an appointment to the neuro-ophthalmology
clinic of the RVEEH since 2007 and has a special interest in
neuro-ophthalmology.
He hold appointments at the Royal Victorian Eye and
Ear Hospital and have been a past Chairman of the Eye Section of the Eye
and Ear Hospital for 3 years. |
