Who we are |

Berwick Surgicentre is a fully
registered Day Procedure centre ands is accredited with the Australian
Council on Health Care Standards. We specialize in refractive cataract
surgery and our specialist staff provide expertise in comprehensive
range of ophthalmic diagnosis, treatment and surgery. Dr Ed Hauptman
instituted the first ophthalmic practice in Berwick in 1991 and
established its first day surgery in 2000.

Dr
Charles Su
who is one of Melbourne’s leading specialists in Oculoplastic
surgery. Dr
Su is a consultant at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the
Royal Children's Hospital. He is a graduate of Melbourne University and
trained at Royal Melbourne and the Eye and Ear, and then completed a
fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery at the University of Michigan. He is
a regular contributor to continuing medical education programs,
registrar teaching, scientific meetings, and journals. Last year he
received an achievement award from the American Academy of
Ophthalmology. His special interest area is eyelid, lacrimal and
orbital disorders and their surgery, particularly paediatric
oculoplastic and lacrimal disease |
