CORNEAL TOPOGRAPHY
essential for Treating astigmatism
The
Pentacam takes images of your cornea by using a rotating
camera, thus producing a 3D photo of the interior part
of your eye. When evaluating patients for LASIK, one of
the key pieces of data is elevation analysis at the
center of the cornea, and with this rotating camera,
that measurement is very precise. These photos take less
than five seconds per eye and during this short period,
up to 25,000 elevation points on your cornea are
measured!

Since its introduction in 2002, the
OCULUS Pentacam® has proven itself indispensable and has
come to represent the "Gold Standard" worldwide. Here’s why:
Contact-free Pentacam® measurement provides the basis for

Pentacam® displays provide targeted
information: Scheimpflug imaging, elevation data, topography
and pachymetry combine to give a comprehensive picture.
